TAHONA KITCHEN+BAR IS REOPENING ITS DOORS
TAHONA Kitchen+Bar is inviting people back for dine-in service Thursday, May 21, while continuing to offer carryout with curbside pickup.
“We received incredible support from our community during shelter-in-place, and we’re excited to welcome people back to our restaurant,” says Scott Schmidt, Founder of Looking Glass Hospitality Group. “As always, our top priority is to provide a great dining experience in a clean and safe environment. Our team is committed to taking every step necessary to keep our guests and team members safe when they return to our restaurant.”
TAHONA has a proven track record of educating and training its team members on food safety and sanitation practices to prevent foodborne illness. All managers and chefs are required to complete the Level 2 Certification in Food Protection Program through the Ohio Department of Health.
To prepare for reopening, TAHONA is implementing the mandatory and recommended protocols set forth by the Governor and Ohio Department of Health. LGHG is also committing to the Ohio Restaurant Promise in partnership with the Ohio Restaurant Association. Employees are required to attend a COVID-19 training session to learn the new procedures and policies being put in place to keep everyone physically distant and safe.
A few of the new measures being implemented at TAHONA include a single employee per shift dedicated to cleaning and sanitizing common areas and surfaces, contactless menus, physical barriers between tables and employee stations where possible, and each staff member will complete a health survey prior to their shift. Dine-In
Guests will still place orders at the counter. There will be a plexiglass screen to separate the employees from the guests and the queue will meet physical distancing requirements. There is limited seating in the restaurant and patio seating is available weather permitting. We are temporarily closing our salsa bar and self-serve drink station.
Take-Out
Online ordering with curbside pickup is still available. Guests can also order carryout in person at the restaurant but will have to wait outside or in their car. An employee will bring their order to them.
