New in 2023! Great Parks of Hamilton County will be providing nature programming at Summit Park!
Get outside and learn about the animals, flowers, and trees at Summit Park!
There are several new nature programs presented by Great Parks of Hamilton County throughout the spring, summer, and fall.
First up, a Bird Walk to learn about spring migration on May 14 at 11:00 a.m. Be sure to bring binoculars!
(Blue Ash Recreation has partnered with Great Parks of Hamilton County to provide nature programming. Summit Park is a City of Blue Ash park, while Great Parks manages over 20 of its own parks throughout Hamilton County. Sunday, May 14 at 11:00 am - Bird Walk
It’s spring migration time! Join us as we learn about the birds that are passing through our area and the ones that call this region home. Bring your binoculars or borrow some of ours and be sure to dress for the weather. Meet at the trail head near the dog park!

Saturday, June 17 at 9:00 pm - Night Hike
Summer brings fun in the sun, but have you ever experienced this season at night? Join a naturalist on the trail and try to spot some of the nocturnal animals that enjoy the park at night! Meet at the trail head near the dog park!

Friday, July 28 at 7:00 pm - Meet Ohio Wildlife
Come face-to-face with a wild animal! Learn about how it lives in its habitat and what we can do to help this special animal thrive.
Monday, August 7 at 10:00 am - Wee Wonders Walk
Join a naturalist on a walk in the park with your wee ones. We’ll explore the trails and observe nature’s wonders up close. Who knows what adventures await! Meet at the trail head near the dog park!

Celebrate the Great Outdoor Weekend with us! Meet live animals, examine wildlife artifacts, and enjoy an activity fit for the family.
Saturday, October 14 at 1:00 pm - Fall Leaf Hunt
Test your investigation skills with a scavenger hunt. Find as many beautiful fall leaves as you can, then show us how you did!
